Blackwood Christmas Parade Set for Saturday
Blackwood Fire Co.'s 25th annual Christmas parade starts at 6 p.m.
The Black Horse Pike in Blackwood promises to be bubbling with the holiday spirit this Saturday, as the 25th annual Blackwood Fire Co. Christmas Parade rolls through town.
The parade, dubbed "The Music and Magic of Christmas," is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
The parade begins at Davistown Road and ends at Church Street. It is supposed to last about an hour.
Following the parade, the star of the event, Santa Claus, will be present for an open house at Blackwood Fire Co.'s Central Avenue hall. The open house is scheduled to run till 9 p.m.
Mainstage Center for the Arts' Harmony and Encore show choirs are slated to perform in the Academy Hall parking lot beginning at 5:15 p.m. to entertain the gathering crowd until the parade gets underway. Harmony will then perform in the fire hall while Santa visits.
