Camden County College to Once Again Host 'Give Kids a Smile!' Day

Camden County College will once again participate in "Give Kids a Smile!" Day.

On Friday, Feb. 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., students and staff of the school's dental-hygiene and dental-assisting programs will be offering free cleanings and other preventative care, as well as dental education services, to children 12 years old and younger.

“Give Kids a Smile!” Day will be held in the college's Copperthwaite Dental Hygiene Clinic, located on the second floor of Taft Hall at the Blackwood campus, which is located at College Drive and Peter Cheeseman Road.

The program is being offered as part of "Give Kids a Smile!" Day. Camden County College is one of 80-plus entities statewide to partner with the New Jersey Dental Association to provide the free cleanings.

February is National Children’s Dental Health Month, and “Give Kids a Smile!” Day, also known as National Children’s Dental Access Day, is the perfect way to focus on the needs of children's dental health, particularly for those youngsters who would otherwise not have access to such services.

All dental care conducted at the college's Blackwood campus Feb. 3 will be overseen by Dr. Catherine Boos, a licensed dentist and director of the college's dental programs.
