Gloucester Township Police issued the following press release regarding an extension of the Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority's sewer project on Berlin Cross Keys Road:

CCMUA has advised that Berlin-Cross Keys Road will be closed for an additional period of time to complete the sewer line installation from the area of the Camden County Vocational School to Erial-New Brooklyn Road.

Berlin-Cross Keys Road will be impassable between Erial-New Brooklyn Road and Kearsley Road to all vehicles except school buses.

The marked detour route for northbound Berlin-Cross Keys Road is Erial-New Brooklyn Road to Erial Clementon Road to Hickstown Turnerville Road to Berlin-Cross Keys Road.

The route for southbound Berlin-Cross Keys Road is Hickstown Turnersville Road to Erial Clementon Road to Erial-New Brooklyn Road to Berlin-Cross Keys Road.

Please plan accordingly for expected delays. Notice will be given if the roadway is opened earlier than anticipated.

This closure is part of a long-term construction project that will impact traffic throughout certain areas of Gloucester Township for the next several months. The Gloucester Township Police Department's Traffic Safety Bureau will send out weekly traffic alerts to keep residents and motorists informed of changes and upcoming road closures.

Chews Landing Road

The installation of new CCMUA sewer lines on Chews Landing Road that was scheduled to begin the week of Sept. 10 has been delayed until further notice.   Once a new start date is determined, an updated traffic advisory will be issued to keep drivers informed of anticipated delays or closures.
