County Dispatcher Faces Child Porn Charges

Matt Call, 44, allegedly had an ongoing relationship with a teenage girl.

A Camden County emergency dispatch operator is up against eight charges, including child pornography allegations, for an inappropriate online relationship with a teenage girl, Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk announced Thursday.

Officers arrested Matt Call, 44, of Mount Ephraim, on Wednesday. Authorities say he interacted with the girl—whose age the county declined to provide to protect her identity—over an approximate five-month period.

Contact between the two took place mostly online through Facebook, and Call solicited pornographic pictures from the girl, the county prosecutor said. The two also met in person twice in the last month and engaged in sexual activity once, authorities allege.

Call reportedly used the pseudonym Steven Lyons during the interactions.

Call was charged with luring, sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child by distributing child pornography, endangering the welfare of a child by engaging in sexual contact, two counts of criminal sexual contact and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child by creating child pornography.

Now suspended without pay, Call is being held at the county jail.

Police want to know if Call had any other inappropriate relationships with minors online. Anyone with information on inappropriate contact between Call and other minors—possibly under the alias “Steven Lyons”—should contact Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Investigator Michelle Chambers at 856-580-6070.
