Glendora Burglary Suspects in Custody
Glendora Elementary School reportedly is put on lockdown.
Gloucester Township Police took several burglary suspects into custody on the 100 block of Glendora's Station Avenue shortly before 1 p.m. this afternoon.
Gloucester Township Police Deputy Chief David Harkins has confirmed the burglary being investigated occurred on the 300 block of Huntington Avenue, in Glendora.
The police activity occurred near Glendora Elementary School. Parents of students at the school posted to Gloucester Township Patch's Facebook page that the school was placed on lockdown during the incident down the road.
A report overheard on a police scanner indicates the suspects surrendered to police following a burglary at 321 Huntington Ave. They were apprehended at 103 Station Ave., according to the report, which police have not confirmed at this time.
The investigation is ongoing, Harkins said.

I happened to driving right at Station ave and The Black Horse Pike at the time this occurred. It was pretty unnerving seeing a sudden influx of a dozen patrol cars swarm around the school like that. I am glad that it was nothing at the school and that no one was hurt.

was shocked to see all the police activity... exspecially directly behind my property.... iam glad no one was hurt.... it was kinda scary.... i wasnt aware there were several break ins in this area.... i feel maybe a slightly better line of comunication should be opened to residents at least to let us know so we could be aware & more vigelant

I praise the police. This occurred in our neighborhood and they were on it. As far as being vigilant, It was that & notification to the police that assisted them to do their job and they did it very well! Maybe we all need to join a neighborhood watch to help them as they can't be everywhere at all times.

My house had a attempted break in Monday early mornin or during the day which I noticed by broken rock chips on my deck, knicks in the slider window, and two screw driver marks were they tried to pry the door open with no success. The broke a window for the basement but I'm sure noticed there is nothing down there, and no stairs that lead to the house. I plan on pressing charges against these scum bags!

My house is righ off station ave by the black horse pike. So I wouldn't doubt these are the guys. At least I hope!
