GTPD: Woman Steals $200 in Items from Rite Aid

Police release surveillance video showing a woman filling her handbag with items and leaving the Blackwood Clementon Road store without paying for them.

Police say a woman stole nearly $200 in goods from the Blackwood Clementon Road Rite Aid on Jan. 14.

The problem for her is the crime was caught by the store's surveillance video cameras.

Gloucester Township Police CrimeStoppers released the video to the public on Wednesday in hopes someone can identify the shoplifting suspect, described in a police statement as a stocky, white female with shoulder-length, dark hair. As you will see in the video, the suspect was wearing a red shirt, black coat, dark pants and white sneakers during the shoplifting incident.

The suspect placed $184 of items into her handbag, and set off the front door alarms as she exited the store without attempting to pay for the merchandise. Employees told police they believed she entered the passenger side of a mid- 1990s Ford Mustang.

Police ask that anyone who can identify the suspect call dispatch at 856-228-4500 or the township's anonymous crime tip line at 856-842-5560, or send an email to police@gtpolice.com.

Oh thank goodness, I was getting worried that I wouldn't get to read about a Rite Aid or Kmart shoplifting today! Try not to wait so late in the day to post these things, I'm all about routine and need the daily Rite Aid/Kmart stories in order to feel a sense of normalcy in my daily life living in GT.

Uncle Jon I thought I told you to not use the pc anymore during the day when you should be in the barn shaving the sheep, you know a big snow storm is on its way and we need the extra warmth supply. Also milk the goat. I'm gonn have to start taking the dsl plug with me.

Jimbo, you can never keep a man from his sheep and his computer, you should learn about multi-tasking like me, your wife and mother does. You're just jealous.
