Officer-Involved Shooting Under Investigation

The shooting, which involved an off-duty Voorhees police officer, occurs on Cross Keys Road in Pine Hill Sunday night.

Authorities are investigating a shooting incident that occurred this weekend in Pine Hill and involved an off-duty Voorhees police officer.

The incident occurred around 11:26 p.m. Sunday in the area of Cross Keys Road and Atlantic Avenue, according to Camden County Prosecutor's Office Sgt. Christina DeCristofor.

DeCristofor described the individual on which the unidentified Voorhees police officer fired a gun as a "suspect."

The male suspect reportedly got back into a vehicle and fled the area.

Reports overheard on a police scanner Sunday night around 11:33 called for an ambulance to respond to Winslow Township's Albion fire station, on Oakland Avenue, to aid a shooting victim in a police officer-involved shooting.

The Prosecutor's Office and Pine Hill Police Department are investigating the incident.
