Part of Little Gloucester Road Closing for Construction

The road will close beginning 7:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28.

Little Gloucester Road will close for construction between Blackwood-Clementon Road and Coles Road/Hider Lane beginning 7:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28.

The road will remain closed until 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1 as the Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority (CCMUA) continues sewer-line installation work.

Local businesses, residents and school buses will have access, but the roadway will be closed to all through traffic. Officers will be on location directing traffic. Gloucester Township police remind motorists to plan accordingly for expected delays and seek an alternate route of travel. The marked detour route for this section of roadway is Blackwood-Clementon Road to Laurel Road to Chews Landing Road to Hider Lane or Little Gloucester Road. The route is marked with orange detour signs in both directions of the route.

The road closing is part of a long term construction project that will affect traffic throughout certain areas of Gloucester Township for the next several months. The Gloucester Township Police Department's Traffic Safety Bureau will send out weekly traffic alerts to keep residents and motorists informed of changes and upcoming road closures.

For questions regarding this road closing, contact the Gloucester Township police at 856-228-4500. For questions regarding the work being completed, contact the CCMUA at 856-541-3700.
