Cherry Hill East kept it close at the half and made a third-quarter run, but Timber Creek's 22-point fourth quarter was the difference, as the Chargers downed the Cougars, 57-37, in the teams' season openers Friday.
Led by 19 points from Brittany Martin and 14 from Amanda Riiff, the Chargers took control midway through the third and dominated from then on in, taking advantage of poor shooting and a foul-happy East defense to finish it off.
Desiree' Furbert added six points and Courtney Reese and Joie Brittingham scored four each.
Cherry Hill East was led by Aliyah Godwin and Zoe Schlessel, who each scored seven points.
