Cherry Hill West weathered a dominant possession effort by Timber Creek and scored a goal in each half to pull away with a 2-0 Olympic Conference win Wednesday.
The Lions' Taylor Gentile scored one and assisted on the other by Sarah McGlinn, and keeper Christiana Ogunsami made seven saves—including on a one-on-one with Timber Creek's Jennifer Mosley—to preserve the victory.
The Chargers controlled the pace for much of the first half and portions of the second, but was never able to capitalize on its possession time with a goal.
