Police have released surveillance video they say shows a man stealing a display case holding $27,000 worth of gold earrings from the Blackwood Clementon Road Kmart this weekend.

The theft was reported to Gloucester Township Police Department at around 11:15 a.m. Sunday.

The Police Department posted the video to its YouTube channel Tuesday afternoon.

It shows a black male who was wearing a Ralph Lauren Polo Bucket Hat, sunglasses, dark shirt and jeans enter the store with a shopping cart, proceed to the jewelry department and load the display case into the cart.

The video shows the thief calmly pushing the shopping cart out of the store.

A witness told police the suspect fled the store in a blue sedan.
