Still a Few Plots Left for Rent in Gloucester Twp. Community Garden
The garden is located across the driveway from historic Gabreil Daveis Tavern.
There are still a few plots left for the 2012 Gloucester Township Community Garden.
It is the second year for the community garden, which is located in the township's Glendora section.
As of Thursday evening, there were still three 10-by-10 plots and one 7-by-15 plot left to be rented for the season, according to Sharon Mickle, a member of the Gloucester Township Environmental Committee and the community garden coordinator.
The plots can still be rented for $20 each. Water, compost and mulch are supplied with the rental fee.
To rent your plot, call the Mayor's Office at 856-374-3514 or send an email to email@example.com.
Gardeners are required to keep the path to their plots weed-free and mulched, and to clear out their area when the season wraps up.
The community garden is located just across the street from historic Gabreil Daveis Tavern, at Floodgate Road and the newly dedicated William F. Schuck Lane (Third Avenue).
The garden also includes a common herb garden and a small raspberry patch.
