A man threatened a gas station attendant, possibly with a weapon, during an unsuccessful robbery at the Citgo station on the Black Horse Pike Monday.

Gloucester Township Police describe the suspect as a black man, 20-25 years old, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9, and wearing a dark coat with the hood up. He also wore a baseball cap with a light-colored brim and dark pants with a light stripe down the side.

The suspect acted as if he wanted to buy a soda, police said, before chasing the attendant, demanding money at 9:51 p.m. Nov. 19. The man had his hand in his pocket, as if he carried a weapon, police added.

A mechanic exited the garage and the suspect fled toward Marshall Avenue.
