Township Kicks Off Campaign Against Texting While Driving [VIDEO]

A local beauty queen got the ball rolling Monday.

Gloucester Township has joined the campaign against texting while driving.

Local officials partnered with Miss Atlantic County 2013, Lindsey Giannini, for a “Stay Alive, Don’t Text and Drive” driver-safety campaign. Giannini donated four “Stay Alive, Don’t Text and Drive” signs at the township council meeting Monday.

The signs will be installed around township high schools to remind young drivers to not text and drive. April is designated as National Distracted Driving Awareness month.
