Twice postponed due to lousy weather, the Camden County flu clinic at Camden County Technical Schools-Gloucester Township Campus will be held today (Wednesday, Nov. 14).
The flu clinic at the Berlin-Cross Keys Road school initially was scheduled for Oct. 30, but was postponed due to Superstorm Sandy. The county announced the clinic would be held on Nov. 7, but then a nor'easter brought an early snowstorm to our area, forcing a second postponement.
Good news—the National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies and a high of 49 in Sicklerville today, so a hurricane or a snowstorm is highly unlikely.
The clinic will be held from 3 to 5 p.m.
Camden County Freeholder Carmen Rodriguez, who serves as the board's liaison to the county Health Department, is urging residents, particularly seniors, to take advantage of the free flu shots.
“In order to keep your family healthy this flu season, we encourage you to take advantage of this beneficial service provided by Camden County,” Rodriguez said. “Please remember that men and women age 65 and older are among the high priority groups for vaccination.”
