Visions for Vacancies: The Former Cheeburger Cheeburger
What do you think should replace the former Cheeburger Cheeburger in The Shoppes at Cross Keys?
The closing of the former Cheeburger Cheeburger occurred around the same time its next-door neighbor, Bok Bok Chicken, shuttered its doors. The Shoppes at Cross Keys serves as home to many franchise restaurants. Dining titans such as Texas Roadhouse, Bertucci’s, and Buffalo Wild Wings apparently proved to be just too much competition for this small burger joint.
This latest edition of “Visions for Vacancies” asks the readers of Gloucester Township Patch to share their ideas for what they feel should replace the former Cheeburger Cheeburger at 611 Cross Keys Rd. in Sicklerville.
What do you tink?
A pet store?
A hair salon?
A new retail store?
Perhaps another restaurant chain?
Or do you have a truly unique idea for what should be featured in this currently vacant lot?
Please keep in mind all the stores that are already located in the area when sharing your answer. All answers can be left in the comments box below.

I know this location is far from large enough, but wouldn't it be great to get an Apple store in the area? The closest right now that anyone can get Apple Genius assistance is in Marlton or Cherry Hill.

I think the problem with The Cross Keys Shoppes is that they need a good anchor store. That way all of the restaurants would have more customers. A Home Goods store would be nice to see in this mall or a Christmas Tree Shop.

How about a place that doesn't charge an arm and a leg for a not so great hamburger.

An store that hold competition for magic of the gathering can play and have fun and buy cards and a play area for kids or make an hang out joint for kids because all the stuff that we did have for kids got taken away because of vandalism. Maybe an arcade or some kind place that kids and adults will like as well.

I'd love to see a Cici's Pizza store..the closest one is up in Cherry Hill on King's Highway and that's quite a hike. The prices are great...under $7.00 for all you can eat pizza, salads , drinks and desert. It's delicious too!

The problem with Cheeburger and Bok Bok was the location..they both were located in spots where if you were driving down Cross Keys you would never even see them to think to stop. Definitely agree we need a mexican restraurant in the area and agree that the whole shopping center needs something to attract customers..I live right by there and never think to go over there, mainly because there is nothing there of interest. Maybe a Forever 21 or Aeropostale for the younger set..those stores are always full in the mall or a shoe store..a DSW?
