...a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.

George Orwell 1984 The Book

Yeah, Orwell's vision paints a good picture of GT. The Ministry of Propaganda, headed up by DaveRead MoreMay er, tells us they're the Green Team - so environmentally conscious are they - then they proceed to cut down trees to put up solar panels and mow down woods and farmland to put up a parking lot. Check out Sam Siler's answer to the Patch when he ran for office about what was his greatest concern for GT...He said that people were struggling and we needed to keep taxes down. Did he even raise his voice when an 8% tax hike was just shoved down our throats?

My daughter had her completely remodeled home up for sale for 2 years. Do to the fact that she hadRead Morea small mortgage balance she was finally able to GIVE IT AWAY and will be moving out of Gloucester Township this month. I find this so sad as she has lived here her entire life. My son is unable to do that since there are 5 foreclosed homes in his street and the street behind him in Blackwood driving prices way down. With Council and the Mayor driving taxes way up he doesn't stand a chance. Since my husband an I are part of the evaporating market, over 55, that the Council referred to we won't need to worry, we will just evaporate. Having lived in Gloucester Township my whole adult life I believe that greed and lies and corruption have led this area to where we are today and it is time for the residents to call an end to this. No one is more blind than those who will not see. Take a good hard look.

Bea: Just for clarification, it was at a Planing Board meeting where a lawyer for a developer saidRead Moret he 55+ housing market had evaporated.

Word on the street...lawyers will say anything.

Don't waste your time. That 300lb RINO is busy running for president, flying around the countryRead Moreatte nding conferences, fund raisers, and meeting with special interest groups, aka political donors. While New Jersey is sinking under its unfunded public sector obligations, high real estate taxes, and its zero private sector economic growth, he wants to solve the county's problems, and the Israeli-Palestinian problems in the Middle East, and the problems in the Pacific region with China's growing military threat.

She isn't just a Board Member. She is Vice President of the BOE .She was nominated by Ed Pearce,Read Morethe Political pick and Criminal who was removed from the Board by the State for failing his Background check. She was voted in with 5 yes votes from Gunn ,Carr, Fontaneze , Pearce and herself. A 5 to 4 vote. Those same 5 people then voted in Gunn as President . All of them work for the Township and belong to the same Political Party. If that isn't an example of Blatant corruption I don't know what is.

If you believe the current rumors, the only reason that some of Mrs. Coyle's critics have not filed Read Moretheir violations against her yet is that they are waiting to see if she runs again.

Help me understand this. A Director in Administration this year was always checking and accusingRead MoreAid es of submitting hours for pay and questioning if they really worked those hours. Then while she checked it out they didn't paid. Its July Principals, Assist. Principals, Administrators, and the like claim to work 4 ten hour days. Really? Try to find them early in the morning or late in the afternoon.....they are no where to be found. So getting paid for time you don't actually serve is OK for the high paid people but crime for the others. This school system is broken for employees and children alike.

Remember, you first have to overcome the paid voters.
Stache's Minion July 15, 2014 at 06:56 PM
What about overcoming the dead voters?
Paul J. DiBartolo July 16, 2014 at 08:23 AM
Paid voters...dead voters...it takes a keen eye to tell the difference, Stache.

You know I really don't know anyone who is happy with the local democrats. So how do they getRead Moreelecte d?
Paul J. DiBartolo July 17, 2014 at 07:49 AM
Ever watch The Walking Dead? Those people vote.

It is amazing what you can get away with when your own party are all complicit enablers of yourRead Morecorr uption and the so-called opposition party all have government jobs and don't want to rock the boat. Or are part of the Norcrat machine themselves. For too long too many people have believed "this can't really be happening" here until it is too late and our high schools are now permanently scarred with the solar panels to pay off Dear Leaders friends. That's how they get away with it.

No one can sell their homes for fair market value as it is, let's add more houses to the mix. Crime Read Morehas been slowly making it's way down Sicklerville Road to Cross Keys Road for years now. Adding these town homes is only going to give this the bridge it needs to make its way behind Lowe's and the neighboring neighborhoods. Just last week a girl was hit by a stray bullet and her neighbor across the street was injured by debris from the shooting on Hathaway Drive which is right behind the Advocare Pediatrics on Sicklerville Road. Less then 5 miles from where these new townhomes are set to construct. This is the 3rd proposed housing development set along Cross Keys, an open invitation for the violence in the Winslow Section of Sicklerville and Chesilhurst.

Bob, sorry for the cryptic format of my response. I was being somewhat sarcastic in my method ofRead Moreget ting to the point... When you drive the economics of something to the point that you have no one willing to buy into it, one way of expressing that result, I guess, would be to say that the market dried up, or evaporated. If GT is no longer desirable for the 55+ crowd, what is so attractive here that will cause others to move in and fill that gap? At some point, no one will want to live here. One aspect of that is how GT has turned from a community of single family dwellings to a community of town houses and condos. The ROI in Gloucester Township is sorely deficient.
Big Daddy 1 July 16, 2014 at 04:01 PM
Geez, won't those high end stores send wealthy folks in droves to move here?
