Collingswood is known throughout South Jersey as a restaurant-first town, so when a new retail business opens in the borough, it's something to celebrate. K Bella boutique, which opened on Haddon Avenue in mid-February, also retails ethically sourced gifts and apparel, an approach that fits right in with the sustainability-focused community. The shop is the brainchild of Gloucester Township resident Karen DiBlasi and West Deptford's Katie Duffield—the K's in "K Bella." The two partnered up to offer a selection of vintage jewelry, apparel, accessories, candles and gifts that strive to be both "unique and affordable," said DiBlasi. Frederico, who's worked at the supermarket for 13 years, and Penner, who's been there for 11, were honored in a special way for their efforts in raising money to end hunger in South Jersey through ShopRite's Partners in Caring program. They're among fellow ShopRite employees from across the Northeast who appear on the back of a limited-edition Cheerios box being sold at Shoprites throughout March. The employees raised a total of $1.25 million for area food banks during September, which is National Hunger Awareness Month. Frederico, who lives in Williamstown…

Aficiandos of Hess toy trucks can rest assured that the popular Christmas collectibles aren't going anywhere.

The Gloucester Township location is part of a huge wave of Blockbuster closings nationwide this year.
Gloucester Township’s second Blockbuster Video will shut its doors, a victim of massive corporate downsizing—and a world where DVDs are quickly going the way of 8-tracks. The Chews Landing Road Blockbuster will close its doors for good on March 24. The branch is having a storewide sale now on its remaining stock, plus shelving and fixtures. Blockbuster announced in January that it would close 300 stores nationwide, laying off about 3,000 people. The shuttered stores account for more than one-third of the nation’s total Blockbuster branches. The Gloucester Township branch, at 1238 Chews Landing Rd., is the second to close in town, after the Sicklerville branch on Cross Keys Road. The soon-to-be closed store shares a building with Dunkin’ …
