GT Board Rules Part II

Well the Agenda for the workshop is out for the August 19 workshop. Included is Public Policy and included in that is, Public Participation in Public Meetings. This Board and Bilodeau are trying to use every trick in the book to silence public criticism of the job this Board and Bilodeau are doing. You can't question individual Board Members, your questions must be directed to presiding officer. interestingly you will only be able to ask a question if the presiding officer recognizes you. I guessing they will try to not recognize certain individuals that have a tendency to ask hard questions. The presiding officer also has the right to terminate the question or interrupt it if they deem it irrelevant. Wow I guess they really don't want any hard questions, talk about stacking the deck against the public. I know rules are needed especially for Public meetings, but really this oppressive and heavy handed approach just shows exactly what this Board and Administration is about, "Status Quo"  keeping the well oiled Political gravy train running and crush any interference from the public. This Board is so busy playing politics it forgot who they represent and who elected them.

If you get lucky enough to ask a hard question the Presiding Officer can, terminate the questioner's statement, ask the questioner to leave or even ask Law Enforcement to escort them out. Is the Board and The current Administration really that afraid of Public questions?

We have already seen this Board try to unsuccessfully to bar an opposing candidate from the School Board Election.

We Have already seen a person ask a question of a Board Member about the legality of being a Board Member and being involved in a political PAC (which the state said was wrong) that individual was charged by Law enforcement and had to go to court.

We have seen Board Members disrespect, ignore and even ridicule individuals who dare ask questions. When do we say enough? When do we take back our schools? When do we rid ourselves of this Administration and replace them with individuals with fresh ideas and that are qualified to bring this District out of the hole they are in and make this District what it once was, Great.
