The Mad, Mad World of thr Gloucester Township BOE

It looks as if the hopes of a new look School Board appearing after the election was just a dream. If anything it seems as if they are spitting in residents faces who dared to oppose them. You have Collins thankfully losing, in what looked like the beginning of new era for this Board only to have it snatched away by new political games by the remaining cowards and hacks on the Board.

First, Lali resigns right after the election so rather than letting residents vote for his replacement the Board gets to appoint somebody. Then they vote to speed up the process and instead of appointing a qualified person with an educational background that might actually be able to offer some assistance to our failing schools they appoint a political hack with ties to local politics. The reasoning for his appointment, because his is good at negotiating contracts. WOW!

Now in the Agenda notes they have a little note saying how the Board values residents opinions. Do you actually believe that? This Board could care less what residents think, the only reason that little addition was added to the agenda was residents were asking to many questions at meetings not because the Board cared what you had to say. You had GILCH and REESE run recently with the slogan, "Take back our schools". Weren't you even curious about who they were taking them back from? I mean this Board has been in power for years and the only difference in that time is residents started attending meetings and asking questions in the months prior to the election. It sure looks as if they referring to taking it back from the residents that dared ask questions. 

You have failing schools, You have a Board and Administration willing to lie to residents saying there is no mold and when the Health Dept. and Fox news get involved then it's OK there might be a little but don't worry trust us. Then there is Acerba hire as Curriculum Supervisor, a principal from a failing Middle school now put in charge of  the whole district's curriculum. What she do hires a outside company to do her job. Then there is Dr. Martin Supervisor at Special Services who actually refuses to answer questions at a public meeting regarding her department and who allegedly had derogatory names for the children she was supposed to represent. Mercado a township councilman hired for a made up position with the district. While most districts are cutting positions and merging jobs this district is making up a new position for the politically connected.Then of course let's not forget Bilodeau our new Superintendent zero building or classroom experience hired to lead a district with 8 out of 11 failing schools. Administrators and teachers so outraged over the hires and appointments of this Board and Administration they were willing to give up their tenure in this district and go to other districts to work with no tenure.

Well there is only a few examples of the lies, the games, and the complete incompetence of this Board and Administration and the real victims here the children that are being cheated out of a great education by the game playing and political agenda of this Board and the  incompetence of this Administration. 

So if we borrow anything from the GILCH and REESE let's borrow their slogan, I mean it's not like they are going to use it. Parents, residents let's "Take Back Our Schools". Become loud, become demanding, don't compromise, demand the truth, get TV and print media involved, go to the state get them involved, get anybody willing to listen involved, if for no other reason then for the children of this District that are being cheated out of a great education by this Board and Administration. Time to turn up the heat and get loud, because apparently that is the only thing that will bring change.
