CCC&HC at CCC Presenting Summer Jazz Series of Free Outdoor Concerts

The Camden County Cultural and Heritage Commission at Camden County College is presenting its eighth annual Summer Jazz Series of free outdoor concerts on Wednesday evenings through July 31.

Each of the shows will take place on the grounds of the Historic Hopkins House, located at 250 S. Park Drive in Haddon Township. Attendees should bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on, and they may bring their own refreshments.

All of the concerts will include an opening performance by a local youth jazz band at 7 p.m. Each of the featured jazz bands, also from the area, will follow at 8 p.m.

Scheduled are:

● July 10: Camden Creative Arts High School Jazz Band followed by pianist Suzzette Ortiz and the Suzzette Ortiz Latin Jazz Ensemble. 

● July 17: Camden Creative Arts High School Jazz Band followed by bassist Lee Smith and the Lee Smith Quartet.

● July 24: Avenue 14 Youth Jazz Band followed by pianist Tom Adams and the Tom Adams Jazz Trio.

● July 31: Conservatory of Musical Arts followed by the R&G Jazz Express.
