Create holiday memories at Mainstage’s Holiday Concert & Family Festival

Treat the family to a holiday outing they’ll remember with joy – Mainstage Center for the Arts (MCA) Holiday Concert & Family Festival, December 21 and 22. The event includes visits with Santa, the opportunity to make homemade ornaments, and an uplifting concert. The show features Mainstage’s Harmony and Encore Show Choirs, along with soprano Robin Wilson; performances by the Mainstage Dance Company; and a guest performance by Country Music artist Sherry Lynn. The Saturday, December 21, concert begins at 7 p.m., while Sunday’s starts at 2 p.m. Doors open for festival activities one hour prior to both concerts.

“Our performance groups have rehearsed for months to present a wonderful show. We enjoy sharing the concert and holiday-festivities with our audience. All of us here at Mainstage just love seeing the children’s faces as they meet Santa, or enjoy cookies from our Cookie Walk,” said Anne Marie Weaver, MCA director of Special Events.

The cookie walk is a fundraiser for the Harmony Show Choir to help offset touring expenses. The teenage show choir members, along with their parents, bake delicious holiday cookies such as nut rolls, chocolate chips, butter cookies, crushed candy canes, and more. Volunteers display the cookies so folks can travel along the “cookie walk” filling bags to enjoy over the holidays
