In case you haven't seen it: http://gloucestertownship.patch.com/groups/business-news/p/nj-unemployment-rate-bumps-up-to-72

What's it mean to you in Gloucester Township? Property taxes stand ready to get bumped up 8%; Camden County taxes, already the highest in the state, are going up; School taxes are going up.

It's all good says Mr. David Mayer.
"Everybody gets a raise," says councilman Dan Hutchison.

Councilman Orlando Mercado says we can all buy designer pocketbooks at the Premium Outlets.

Maybe we can even get part-time, minimum wage jobs there.

Sheep. It drives me nut's. Don't read, don't research. Just pull the same lever you always pulled and that your Daddy pulled. THEN cry about it when you get shafted. AGAIN.

This is the type of thing that's making me think about leaving the state I have called home my entire life. I may not have gone to the town meetings (I work 5 jobs to pay all these taxes) but I do vote.

It's called Pay to Play. Ultimately we are the ones that pay so we can watch our politicians and their donors play.

Exactly, Big Daddy. GT taxpayers have a right to know how the township engineer, Remington and Vernick, is going to recoup the $64,000 it contributed to Team-Mayer's campaign in the 2013 election cycle. Additionally, R & V has been prohibited from bidding for contracts in Medford for four years because the engineering firm made a $3,200 contribution to the campaign of a candidate running in that town's council primary. This exceeded the allowable $300 limit imposed on contributions by vendors to candidates. How will R & V recoup this wasted money? This is outrageous and it is all carried on under the cover of darkness by the corrupt politicians that run our town and tell us that these large donations are no problem and have nothing to do with buying influence when it comes to selecting vendors. Lies...damned lies...and statistics and nothing more. The taxpayers of GT are sleeping while these people enrich themselves at our expense.

In the case of R&V, you can proove it. It's all in the dates.
