The Joseph Fund Announces New Board Members

The Joseph Fund, a Camden-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the Ministries of St. Joseph’s Pro-Cathedral, recently announced the addition of Reginald J. Blaber, M.D., FACC and Michael C. Haydinger, both of Haddonfield, and Joseph M. Nardi of Westmont to its Board of Trustees.

“Our board is comprised of some of the region’s best and brightest individuals whose collective skills and business savvy is unmatched. Reg, Mike and Joe complement this team – their professionalism, history of community involvement, and passion for our mission will help us as we continue serving Camden’s most vulnerable,” said Mark Hodges, executive director of The Joseph Fund.

As board members, Dr. Blaber, Haydinger and Nardi will help to guide the work of The Joseph Fund, the central fundraising entity for the Ministries of St. Joseph’s Pro-Cathedral that are engaged in housing and community development, education and youth programs,  transitional housing for homeless citizens, and much more for the Camden community.

Dr. Reginald Blaber, a cardiologist, serves as executive director of the Lourdes Cardiovascular Institute. He is vice president of the Cardiovascular Service Line and chairman of the Department of Medicine at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden. In addition, Dr. Blaber practices cardiology at Blaber Cardiology at Lourdes Medical Associates in Haddon Heights, Associated Cardiovascular Consultants in Cherry Hill and Underwood Memorial Hospital in Woodbury.

Previously, Dr. Blaber served as president of Lourdes Medical Associates and as medical director of the Cardiac Cath Lab at Virtua-West Jersey Health System, led the internal medicine staff and chief gastroenterology clinic at the Martin Army Community Hospital at Ft. Bennington, Ga., and was a Major in the Medical Corps of the United States Army. A graduate of Bucknell University with a B.A. in chemistry, he earned his medical degree at Hahnemann University School of Medicine. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and echocardiography. He has received numerous awards and other recognition and is a member of several societies and professional organizations including the American College of Physicians, American College of Cardiology and the American College of Health Care Executives. He is widely published in numerous medical journals and speaks nationally. Dr. Blaber has served on the Boards of the Haddonfield Ambulance Association, Interfaith Care Givers of Haddonfield and Bucknell University Alumni Association.

Michael Haydinger is the CFO and Vice President of First Montgomery Group (FMG), which owns, manages, finances and renovates apartment communities in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. FMG also owns several retail and commercial properties. Haydinger holds the same position at United Communities, LLC, a subsidiary of FMG which was charged with the responsibility for the demolition of 2,000 homes and the construction of 1,600 new homes and 450 renovated homes at the Maguire-Fort Dix Joint Base in New Jersey. Before joining FMG, Michael was the Legislative Director for the Utility Transportation Contractors Association of Manasquan, N.J., and worked in the Washington, D.C. office of Congressman Robert A. Roe.

Haydinger earned a B.A. in politics from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. 

He is a member of the Board of Directors of the NJ Apartment Association, the Board of the 1st Colonial Bank and is on the Industry Advisory Board of Drexel University Property Management School.

Joseph Nardi is a partner in the law firm of Brown and Connery LLP in Westmont. His primary areas of practice are in trusts and estates, business transactions and municipal law.

Nardi earned a B.S. in accounting from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, a J.D. from Catholic University of America and an LLM in taxation from Temple University. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the New Jersey Bar Association, the Camden County Bar Association and the Estate and Financial Planning Council of South Jersey.

Nardi’s community service record is extensive and includes serving as the current chairman of the executive committee of The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Malvern Retreat House, and past president of the St. Joseph’s University Law Alumni Association, among many others.
