Camden County Libraries Collecting Donations for Animal Shelter

All eight county library locations will collect donations for the Camden County Animal Shelter throughout the summer.

The Camden County Library System is conducting a summer-long donation drive at its eight branches to supply badly needed items for the dogs and cats housed at the Camden County Animal Shelter.

Residents across the county can help the animals to have a more enjoyable stay at the shelter by dropping off any of the following items at one of the library’s eight branches.

 - Canned and dry cat food and dog food

- Dog toys – Kongs, Boomerballs, Nylaobnes

The library will have clearly marked collection boxes from June through August at each of its eight branch locations: Bellmawr, Ferry Ave. (Camden), Gloucester Twp., Haddon Twp., Merchantville, Cruz-Perez Downtown (Camden), South County (Winslow Twp.) and Voorhees. Directions to any of the branches are available online at http://www.camdencountylibrary.org/locations-hours

In addition, as part of its regular craft programs, the library plans to enlist the help of children, tweens and teens in making toys from simple everyday items for the animals in the shelter.

The library, the County Animal Shelter and most of all the animals appreciate the generosity of local residents.
