Kids Helping Kids Walk May 31 at Veterans Memorial Park

The walk is held in memory of a South Jersey teenager who died of brain cancer in 2006.

The Emmanuel Cancer Foundation will host the 7th annual Kids Helping Kids Walk in memory of Mitchell McAllister at Veterans Park on May 31, according to the township website.

McAllister died of brain cancer in 2006 at the age of 17. He was a student at Cumberland Regional High School and Cumberland County Vocational Tech School.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. in the gazebo, and the walk commences at 10 a.m. Veterans Memorial Park is located at 1261 Chews Landing Road in Laurel Springs.

It will benefit the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation’s direct services programs and raise visibility and awareness for the Southern Regional Center.

The Emmanuel Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides a variety of free services to any New Jersey family caring for a child with Cancer.
