Off-Track Betting Expected Soon in Gloucester Township

Favorites may open in Gloucester Township by the end of May.

Off-track betting in Gloucester Township should be a reality by the end of the month, nj.com reports.

Favorites will likely open by the end of May, with a ribbon cutting ceremony soon after, Mayor David Mayer told nj.com this week.

Patrons will be able to watch races from 25 different tracks on big screen TVs at the bar and grill slated to open on Blackwood Clementon Road where the Stone Grill once stood, according to the report. It will be open 12 hours a day, seven days a week.

It gained approval from the state racing commission in October, according to the report.
