Gentile grew up in Pine Hill and graduated from Overbrook Regional High School.

“Stephen is truly an American hero and we are proud to be part of the celebration,” Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. said. “Stephen has demonstrated extraordinary honor and conviction, and we thank him for his service to our country. He serves as an example to us all, and we are happy to have him home.”

Gentile joined the Air National Guard in February 2012, and graduated from Lackland Air Force Base in April of 2012.
