Police Issue Traffic Advisory Ahead of Gloucester Township Day

Gloucester Township Day is set for Saturday.

Gloucester Township Day is Saturday, and the Police Department is warning a large volume of pedestrian and vehicle traffic is expected.

The event takes place at Veterans Park Saturday, June 7, from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. A fireworks display is scheduled for 9 p.m.

The purpose of the celebration, which will be filled with rides, games, food, vendors, and activities, is to recognize the the recipients of the Gloucester Township Day Scholarship Committee scholarships, according to the township's website.

The police department has made its Child Registration System available for the day, and Gotta Play Tennis will have a table set up at the event.

Police are cautioning drivers that they may experience delays on Chews Landing Road, Kelly Drivers Lane and Hider Lane during the event.  To avoid delays, seek an alternate route of travel.
