Speed Restrictions in Place on Local Bridges Wednesday Morning

The speed limit is 35 on the Walt Whitman, Ben Franklin, Betsy Ross and Commodore Barry bridges.

There were speed restrictions in place on four local bridges and pockets of volume developing around the region during Wednesday morning's commute, according to 511nj.org.

The speed limit has been reduced to 35 miles an hour on the following bridges:

* the Ben Franklin Bridge in both directions between Camden and Philadelphia;
* the Betsy Ross Bridge in both directions between Pennsauken and Philadelphia;
* the Walt Whitman Bridge in both directions between Gloucester City and Philadelphia; and
* the Commodore Barry Bridge between Logan Township and Chester.

Additionally, pockets of volume were developing in the following areas:

* on I-295 in both directions between Exit 32 in Cherry Hill and Exit 26S in Bellmawr;
* on I-295 south from Exit 29 in Barrington to Exit 26S in Bellmawr;
* on I-76 local and expressway roads west from Exit 1A in Bellmawr to the Walt Whitman Bridge in Gloucester City;
* I-295 north from Exit 24 in West Deptford to Exit 32 in Cherry Hill;
* Route 70 in both directions from Route 644/Grove Street/Haddonfield Road to I-295 in Cherry Hill;
* Route 55 north from Exit 58 to Route 42 in Deptford;
* Route 42 north from Exit 12 in Deptford to I-295 in Bellmawr;
* Route 38 west at Route 70/601 in Pennsauken; and
* Route 30 west from Route 130 in Collingswood to Route 130/38 in Pennsauken.
