Township Woman Reaches Her Century Birthday

Gloucester Township resident Frances Rawlins, born April 7, 1911, celebrated her 100th birthday at Bensi Restaurant on Friday.

Frances Rawlins has reached a birthday few others can brag about—her 100th.

Born in Boston, MA on April 7, 1911, Rawlins turned 100 years old on Thursday. She is a 14-year Gloucester Township resident, and a frequent fixture on the town's senior bus service for transportation to ShopRite because she never drove.

The Gloucester Township Senior Bus celebrated Rawlins' 100th birthday at Bensi Italian Restaurant at The Shoppes at Cross Keys. On behalf of Gloucester Township, Mayor Dave Mayer presented Frances with a certificate of congratulations.
