Get Out: It's a Mostly Free Edition

This week's "Get Out" features five free events for a budget-friendly weekend.

Gloucester Township Patch has picked seven events for this weekend suited to meet everyone's needs. The best part? Most of the events are free!

Enjoy a free musical event meant for the tiniest of tots at the library, a cabaret to remember in Collingswood, a night of great comedy in Paulsboro and more. With so many free or low-cost events to choose from, save your money for your upcoming summer vacations.

(Gloucester Township Patch)

  • Where/When: Gloucester Township Library, 15 S. Black Horse Pike, Blackwood; Friday, 10:30 a.m.
  • What’s Going On: This free Wiggles & Giggles event is ideal for babies. Come out and make new friends while the tiny ones enjoy movement and music to help their minds develop.
  • Pricing: Free, registration requested

Songs I'll Never Sing, Roles I'll Never Play (Collingswood Patch)

  • Where/When: , 30 W. Collings Ave., Collingswood; Friday, 8-10:30 p.m.
  • What’s Going On: Do you have a dream you’d like to live out? Well, the members of the Collingswood Community Theatre are doing just that—living out their dreams this Friday night. This cabaret show will feature performers singing songs from shows the Collingswood Community Theatre will probably never stage. They are set to perform hits from My Fair Lady, Cabaret, Cats and more. Included in the cost of admission is wine, beer and soda.

LOL:) Comedy Club (West Deptford Patch)

  • Where/When: LOL Comedy Club, 2001 S. Delaware Ave., Paulsboro; Friday, 8:30 p.m.

  • What’s Going On: You don't have to travel far for a great night of laughs. This month at LOL Comedy Club at Rocking Stone Irish Pub and Grill, the comedians are set to tickle your funny bone. Headlining the event will be Geno Bisconte and also performing will be the 2010 and 2011 winners of The Sarcasm Comedy Club's competition—LaTice Mitchell-Klapa and Danny Broad. Enjoy comedians Paul Ray, Darin Martinez and host Roundboy Jimmy Graham, who's been featured on HBO, Starz and Comedy Central comedy specials.

  • Pricing: $15 per person

  • Pet Fest 2011 (Gloucester Township Patch)

    • Where/When: Camden County Animal Shelter, 125 Sewell County House Rd., Blackwood; Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
    • What’s Going On: Come out to the Camden County Animal Shelter's second annual Pet Fest. In addition to meeting the shelter's adorable cats and dogs, attendees can enjoy games, a DJ, food, vendors, face-painting and more. Proceeds from this event will help support the shelter's mission to provide shelter and adoption services for stray/unwanted animals.
    • Pricing: Free to attend

     Berlin Lions Classic Car Show (Gloucester Township Patch)

    • Where/When: Berlin Community Center, 1 Franklin Ave., Berlin, Saturday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
    • What’s Going On: If you like classic and custom automobiles, this event is ideal for you. Enjoy an auto lover's perfect day out at the Berlin Lions Classic Car Show this Saturday. Vendors will also be on hand at this fun event, which will also include music, door prizes, food and a raffle.
    • Pricing: Free to attend

    Dodgeballwish Tournament (Gloucester Township Patch)

    • Where/When: , Chews Landing Road and Lincoln Drive; Saturday, 10 a.m. (If participating, check-in starts at 9:30 a.m.)
    • What’s Going On: If you want to attend a non-traditional fundraising event the entire family can enjoy, visit Veterans Park this Saturday! Per its website, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey is sponsoring this dodgeball event to help raise money to grant the wishes of children between the ages of 2 ½ and 18 who have life-threatening medical conditions. In addition to watching this fun tournament there will be food, music, kids games, a 50/50 raffle and more. If you are interested in participating in this event, contact the organization via its website.
    • Pricing: Free to attend (Cost is $30 per person if entering in competition)

    Megamind (Gloucester Township Patch)

    • Where/When: Parkview School , 123 Parkview Rd., Stratford; Saturday, 7 p.m.
    • What’s Going On: Enjoy a free showing of the animated film Megamind. The Stratford Park Commission will present the film outdoors at Stratford's Parkview School. The movie starts at 7 p.m., but family activities will take place starting at 6 p.m. Don't forget your chairs or blankets and your favorite snack!
