Township Woman Reported Missing, Car Found at Home

A 59-year-old Gloucester Township woman was reported missing Saturday after failing to show up at a family gathering Friday, police said.

Carol Reiff, a resident of the Lakeview Apartments, spoke with relatives by phone on Thursday morning before going missing. Her car was found outside her apartment at the complex in the 500 block of Lower Landing Road, adjacent to Route 42 north. She had plans to travel to Manahawkin on Friday, but never showed up.

She is described as a 5-foot, white female, 100 pounds with blue eyes and light, reddish-brown hair. It is not known what clothes she was wearing at the time of her disappearance.

The township police investigations bureau and the state police missing persons unit are investigating this incident.
