Gloucester Township Food Tour: Cheesesteaks

Bob Wankel previously named Antonino's as one of the best local places to grab a slice of pizza. What about their cheesesteaks?

During my pizza tour I had visited in Blackwood and came away impressed with their pizza. Again, as was the case with some of the other shops I sampled, Antonino's was recommended to me for their cheesesteaks.

I was hesitant to head back to Antonino's because, frankly, I don't want readers to think I have stock in this place (I don't). So before I tried their sandwich I told myself that I'd have to walk away mighty impressed to list the small pizza and sub shop off Little Gloucester Road for a second time.

Well, I walked away mighty impressed.

What I liked most about Antonino's was the size of the $6.75 sandwich—you don't get cheated with the size of the roll or amount of steak included.

Of course, it doesn't really matter how big the sandwich is if it doesn't taste good. Fortunately, the sandwich was as tasty as it was filling.

Antonino's loaded the roll with a thinly-diced, tasty meat and a good amount of cheese that really helps define the sandwich.

So, while I already knew Antonino's served up a quality slice of pizza, now I know they have the cheesesteak to go with it.
