Swordfish Communications Launches New Service for PR Do-It-Yourselfers

With Journalists by the Dozen, Get Reporters Sent Right to Your Inbox -- and a Dozen Doughnuts Too

Swordfish Communications, a public relations agency based in Gloucester Township, announces it has launched a new service that will help organizations interact with the journalists important to them, and even generate their own press coverage.

Journalists by the Dozen lets visitors to the company’s website  (www.swordfishcomm.com) choose up to 12 media they wish to contact, and Swordfish will supply complete contact information, including Twitter handle if applicable, within two business days.

Organizations completing the online form can select reporters by name, specific publication, a combination of both, or even an entire category, for example, “editors at the top-circulation restaurant trade publications,”  “tech writers at the 12 largest daily newspapers” or “guest bookers at morning news programs in these 12 markets.”  If the specific reporter or title can’t be found, Swordfish will substitute something very close.  The cost of Journalists by the Dozen is $59, payable through PayPal or the Intuit Payment Network.

“Some people just have a great story they want to get out, but don’t want to hire an agency.  Some businesses or nonprofit organizations might want to open a dialogue with reporters vital to their industry, even if they have no specific news at the moment,”  said Swordfish Communications founder Gary Frisch.  “Even marketing agencies offer limited PR services on request from time to time. This is an inexpensive way to start building that relationship, and of course, relationships is the key to public relations.”

For a limited time, users who “pick a dozen” will also get to pick a dozen of a different sort, with a bonus Dunkin’ Donuts gift card.
