The Bancroft School Names Matthew Sharp New Principal and Sr. Director for the Haddonfield Campus

Haddonfield, NJ -- (October 1, 2013) – The Bancroft School, a New Jersey-based nonprofit and leading provider of special education programs for children and youth with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities, has named Matthew Sharp Sr. Principal and Sr. Director of the Haddonfield Education Campus.

Dennis Morgan, Executive Director of Bancroft Special Education Programs, said, “Matthew is the positively engaging and strategic leader we need for our main campus. Matthew has a successful track record for engaging and developing his staff, evaluating talent, shaping the future of his program and partnering with families. I am confident that he will bring these same qualities to his new role as Principal of the Haddonfield Education Campus.”

Sharp has worked in the special education field in both public and private schools for over 17 years. He has initiated educational programs with great success in both types of settings.

He has served as principal of the Bancroft Early Education Program and Preschool since 2005.

Sharp earned a bachelor’s degree and dual certification in elementary and special education from The College of New Jersey and a master of education degree in administration/curriculum and supervision from Wilmington University. He is completing his doctoral studies at Rowan University.

Sharp has conducted research in early childhood education and parent training and collaboration, among others. He has also been an adjunct professor in the psychology department at Camden County College since 2002.
