Bellmawr Dropped as Medical Marijuana Site

Compassionate Care Foundation Inc. will seek another location in South Jersey to grow and distribute medical marijuana.

The state's delay in implementing a medical-marijuana program has caused a nonprofit group to abandon its tentative lease on a Bellmawr property where it proposed to distribute the drug, according to the Courier-Post.

Compassionate Care Foundation Inc. had been considering a property in an industrial park on Bellmawr's Benigno Boulevard.

Now, due to the delay in implementing the program, the foundation and a second non-profit, Compassionate Sciences ATC Inc., are seeking separate sites to grow and distribute marijuana in South Jersey, the Courier-Post reported in today's editions.
