Chews Landing Fire Dept. to Bring Santa to District 2 Neighborhoods

Fire District No. 2 residents get an opportunity to see Santa Claus in their neighborhoods on Dec. 16 and 23.

The fire departments in Gloucester Township sure are keeping Santa Claus busy leading up to Christmas Night.

Chews Landing Fire Department will bring Santa to neighborhoods in Fire District No. 2 the evenings of Dec. 16 and Dec. 23. The Kris Kringle-carrying fire truck will leave the Somerdale Road fire station at 6 p.m. each night.

On Dec. 16, the fire truck will travel to those neighborhoods on the Chews Elementary School side of Chews Landing Road—Broadmoor, Timber Birch and all the courts off Somerdale Road.

On Dec. 23, the fire truck will travel to those neighborhoods on the opposite side of Chews Landing Road—the Lakeview and Hilltop areas, Valleybrook, Glen Oaks, Millbridge, and La Cascata.

The fire truck will work its way toward the District No. 2 edges both nights. So, the closer you live to the fire station, the earlier you can expect your visit.
