The annual National Association of Town Watch event is designed to:

  • Heighten crime- and drug-prevention awareness;
  • Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts;
  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships;
  • Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

Neighborhood groups throughout the township are planning a variety of activities for the fast-approaching National Night Out, which is supported by the U.S. Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Assistance and Target Corp.
