Host Sterling will face Willingboro in the other semifinal, following the Timber Creek-RV game.

The tournament's semifinals will feature four of the Courier-Post's girls' basketball top 5. RV is currently ranked No. 1, followed by No. 2 Cherry Hill East, No. 3 Sterling, No. 4 Timber Creek and No. 5 Willingboro.

3. Wrestlers from Highland, Timber Creek and Triton will compete in the District 30 tournament Friday and Saturday at Overbrook High School.

Go get 'em, boys.

4. The township has reached contract agreements through 2013 with both police unions—the rank-and-file officers union and the superior officers union.

The contracts, approved by the Township Council Monday night, provide for raises of 0.75 percent for 2011, 2 percent for 2012 and 1.75 percent in 2013 for all police officers, except Chief W. Harry Earle, who is not represented by either union.

The negotiations were not contentious, according to township officials.

"Real people meeting and talking about reality," Mayor David Mayer said of the negotations.

Mayer noted police officers will have to contribute 1.5 percent of their salaries to their health-benefits packages under a new state law.

The township still has contracts to work out with four other unions.
