Grab & Go Kids Planner: Getting Hopping

Spring is here with Easter egg hunts, spring activities and more.

'Tis the season for egg hunts, the Easter Bunny and lots of family fun outside. Check out all the great hayrides and fun events at area farms, starting this weekend.

FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

Hayride and Easter Bunny at Duffield’s Farm
Where/When: Duffield's Farm, Greentree and Chapel Heights Roads, Washington Township, Saturday and April 16, 21, 22 and 23, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Duffield’s is a great place to spend an afternoon. Take a hayride through the fields to the Easter Bunny’s house. Gather up some eggs in the Bunny Egg-cres, get a picture and then enjoy a snack in the Easter Bunny’s backyard. While you are there, swing by to feed the animals, hop on the moon bounce and pick up some yummy homemade soup or a sandwich inside the Farmer’s Market.

Cost: $8 per child, $4 per adult

Lil’ Peeps Bunny Hayride and Easter Egg Hunt.
Where/When: Creamy Acres Farm, 448 Lincoln Mill Rd., Mullica Hill, April 9, 12:30 to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Bring an Easter basket and gather some eggs in Bunny-land at Creamy Acres. Take pictures with the Easter Bunny, play games, decorate your eggs and get a prize! Creamy Acres is a delightful old-fashioned family farm.

Cost: $7.50 per egg hunter


Where/When: Johnson's Corner Farm, 133 Church Rd., Medford, April 9-23, hours vary, check website.

Why Go: Hop through Johnson’s Corner Farm fields for Easter eggs, visit with the big bunny himself and snag a bag of candy. Once all the festivities are finished, pop into the greenhouses for Easter flowers.

Cost: $7.95 per egg hunter; $3.25 per hayride rider

Pet Photos with the Easter Bunny
Where/When: Voorhees Town Center, Macy’s Court, Voorhees, Sunday, 9 to 10:30 a.m., and April 17, 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Why Go: Because pets are family too and, really, who doesn’t need a photo of Fido with a giant, plush Easter Bunny? Bring your pet on a leash or on a carrier, and snap a photo for the family album.

Cost: Varies per photo package. Plan on spending about $10.

Berlin Lions Club Country Craft Faire
Where/When: Berlin Community School, 215 S. Franklin Ave., Berlin, Saturday, 9 a.m.

Why Go: Snag some fabulous crafts, homemade goodies and, of course, a photo with the Easter Bunny at the Berlin Lions Club Country Craft Faire. Bring a nonperishable food item for the area food bank and grab some good karma while you shop for Easter basket goodies.

Cost: Free to enter, items for purchase
