Big Welcome Planned for Returning Soldier

Josh Little, a Triton Regional High School graduate, returns home from a tour in Afghanistan with the U.S. Army on Saturday.

A Triton Regional High School graduate will receive quite a welcome upon his return to Gloucester Township on Saturday following a nine-month tour in Afghanistan with the U.S. Army.

Spc. Josh Little was deployed to Afghanistan with the U.S. Army's 4th Infantry Division, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team on March 10.

Friends, family and neighbors are expected for a "Welcome Home" celebration at Little's Hollywood Drive home at 2 p.m. Saturday.

“This young man’s dedication to our country serves as an example to us all,” Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said in a statement announcing the "Welcome Home" celebration planned for Little's return. “He has demonstrated extraordinary honor and conviction, and we thank him for his service to our country.”

Little joined the Army in April 2010. He graduated from military intelligence school at Fort Huachuca, AZ, and is currently stationed out of Fort Carson, CO, where he was promoted to specialist.

In addition to friends, family and Gloucester Township officials, members of Warriors' Watch Riders, who will escort Little home, Operation Yellow Ribbon of South Jersey, New Jersey State Police, Magnolia Police Department and Glendora Fire Department will attend the event.
