GTPD Issues Traffic Alerts

Gloucester Township Police Department issued the following traffic alerts for Friday and Saturday:

Cooper Road Area

Cooper Road will be closed to all traffic on Friday, Oct. 26 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. The roadway will be closed due to filming of a traffic safety training video for emergency service personnel.  

Barricades will be in place on Cooper Road at College Drive, College Road at Robert E. Kelly Boulevard and Cooper Road at Zimmerman Road. Officers will also be on location to assist with traffic control.  

Drivers will have access to Route 42 south from Zimmerman Road. Drivers exiting Route 42 south onto Zimmerman Road can access Camden County College by Zimmerman Road to north Black Horse Pike to Davistown Road to Erial Road to Little Gloucester Road.  

Drivers should plan an alternate route of travel if visiting the area to avoid delays.  

Roberts Drive/Upton Way Area  

On Friday, Oct. 26, between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., the annual Women’s Club of Broadmoor Halloween parade will take place. The parade begins on Upton Way at Roberts Drive to Orchard Avenue to the baseball field.  

During the parade, portions of those roadways will be closed. Drivers visiting the area may experience minor delays.  

Glendora Area

On Saturday, Oct. 27, between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., there will be a 5K run in Runnemede. The route of the run will pass through the Glendora section of Gloucester Township. Evesham Road at Shubert Ave and Central Avenue between 7th Avenue and Evesham Road will be temporarily closed as runners pass through the area. Officers will be on location assisting with traffic control. Drivers should plan an alternate route of travel if visiting the area to avoid delays.
