Help for Domestic Violence Victims on the Way

Three new programs aimed at curbing domestic violence will be unveiled during a press conference at the municipal building on Wednesday.

Domestic violence victims will soon have a new place to turn for help in Gloucester Township.

On Wednesday, Chief W. Harry Earle and Mayor David Mayer will be joined by members of the Camden County Women's Center, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, and the Delaware Valley chapter of Volunteers of America in unveiling the new Family Quiet Room at the municipal building.

The Family Quiet Room will serve as a safe haven for victims of domestic violence, according to officials.

During Wednesday's press conference, police, Mayer and the other groups will also announce two new initiatives aimed at curbing domestic violence in the township.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
