Last Chance to Renew Pet Licenses

If you live in Gloucester Township and have cats or dogs, you have a week to license your pets.

The deadline for Gloucester Township residents to license cats and dogs for 2012 without incurring a late fee is just around the corner.

By township code, if you license your pets after March 31, you will be assessed a $15 late fee.

Actually, you must register your pets this year by 5 p.m. Thursday, March 29, to avoid the late fee, as the Clerk's Office is closed Friday, March 30, through Sunday, April 1.

The Clerk's Office is open for pet licensing from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

A copy of an updated rabies vaccination certificate is required whether you're licensing your pets in person or by mail.

You can license your pets in person at the Clerk's Office in the municipal building or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope and check made payable to "Township of Gloucester" in the amount of $21 for spayed or neutered pets or $24 for non-spayed or non-neutered pets to the following address: Township of Gloucester - Dog Licensing, PO Box 8, Blackwood, NJ 08012.
