Meet Marlo, He Needs a Home

He is the Patch/NJ Aid for Animals Pet of the Week.

New Jersey Aid for Animals (NJAFA) board member Kelly Matthews, a Gloucester Township resident, submitted the following to Patch regarding a dog in need of a home:

Meet Marlo, he's had it pretty rough so far.

He has been living most of his life with a chain padlocked around his neck. He was neutered last week and suffered a severe infection, which required additional surgery. He had an eye infection that was also pretty painful for him.

Marlo was skinny, dirty, and sick, but is still a friendly and very happy pup. Marlo has been happy to have a clean dry place to sleep and daily walks. He's been playing in the wide-open yard without the chain around his neck while he recovers from his surgery.

He is considered urgent, and at risk to be put to sleep if a home is not found for him and he must enter a shelter due to his breed. Please contact NJAFA at info@njafa.org if you can foster, adopt or pull to rescue.
