Moms Talk: The 'Bin Laden Was Killed' Talk

How should you talk with kids of various ages about Sunday's killing of Osama bin Laden?

Unless you've been under a rock—a very, very big rock ... far, far away from a radio or TV or smartphone—since dinnertime Sunday night, you know by now that terrorist Osama bin Laden was killed in Pakistan Sunday afternoon by CIA-led Navy SEALs.

Bin Laden's death comes nearly 10 years after he and his terrorist network orchestrated the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The al-Qaida leader was not killed by a drone plane bombing. Nope. Our agents and SEALs found him, battled with him and his bodyguards for a brief time, then killed him. Bin Laden was shot once in the head and twice in the body, according to reports.
