Police Seek Public's Help Locating Missing Man

Police are searching for a Blackwood man who was last seen near his home apartment complex Tuesday night.

Police described 36-year-old Thomas Skalko as suicidal in an alert issued around 3:30 this afternoon.

Skalko, who recently has suffered from depression, was last seen at around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday near Autumn Ridge Apartments, where he lives, and College Drive, police said. He was reported missing by his wife, who spoke to him on his cell phone around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Skalko is white, 6 feet tall and weighs about 220 pounds. He has hazel eyes and black and gray hair, and he usually wears eyeglasses.

Skalko may be wearing jeans and sneakers.

Police ask that anyone who sees Skalko immediately call 911.
