Pomp and Circumstance This Week in Gloucester Township

Pomp and circumstance will be in the air this week in Gloucester Township with the three high schools in the Black Horse Pike Regional Sending District holding commencements exercises.

Highland, Timber Creek and Triton will all hold graduation ceremonies on Friday at 6 p.m.

  • Wednesday: Marianne Coyle Harrassment hearing 10 a.m. at Winslow Municipal Court on Route 73 South.
  • Wednesday: New Jersey Racing Commission will hold a hearing on a proposed off track betting facility on Blackwood Clementon Road. The meeting will be at 4:30 p.m. at the Municipal Hall on Chews Landing Road.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Camden County Electronics Recycling Drop off in the parking lot of Camden County College in Blackwood. There will also be a hazardous household waste drop off, as well.
  • Saturday: 9 to 11 a.m The 2nd Annual QuickStart Tennis Family Fun Day. Held on the courts in Gloucester Township Community Park, this free event showcases the QuickStart Tennis programs offered by Gloucester Twp. Recreation. NO TENNIS EXPERIENCE OR EQUIPMENT REQUIRED. QUICKSTART TENNIS: the new 10 and under tennis standard for providing quick success on the court. Through fun activities and court play, students learn the basic skills of strokes, terms, movement and scoring. Instructional games, scaled-down courts and nets, and specialized rackets and balls are kid-sized. All equipment is provided.
