Sparkie, a Deaf Dog, Needs a Home

Patch/NJ Aid for Animals Adopt-a-Pet of the Week.

New Jersey Aid for Animals (NJAFA) board member Kelly Matthews submitted the following to Patch regarding a dog in need of a home:

Sparkie is a very nice, 7-month-old bull terrier and pit bull terrier mix. He is fun and friendly, a real sweetheart.

Sparkie is also deaf. Deaf dogs can make wonderful companions. They are as smart and affectionate and loyal as hearing dogs, they just need to be trained in a different way.
